NOC is required only when you are going to stay in a particular city/state for a period of 30 days or more, generally. If you are on travel and with an intention to return to your home city with no stay in any city/state for more than 30 days no NOC is required. Private vehicles (white registration board with black numbers) are free to roam anywhere in the country. Permits are only required for commercial or taxi registered vehicles.

Indian Railways has announced the holiday special trains for 2014 and Jabalpur is provided with a direct train to Pune starting from 7th April 2014. The train would run once in a week (Sunday from Pune and Monday from Jabalpur).
The train would run from Pune on every SUNDAY.

Madan Mahal Fort
Madan Mahal is an ancient locality of Garha. The fort was the resting palace of the 10th Gond Kind Madan Singh. Madan mahal fort was built about 1100 A.D. It is a very plain and simple structure. Palace stands on a single stone on the summit of a hill which commands a magnificent view over the rich valley around.
As seen in the picture, a rock is balancing itself over another and completely static for a unknown period. Located in the hills near to Dev-Tal, this magical rock is a major attraction of people here.
Located at the center of City and and only half a Km from Bus-Stand, Bhanwar Tal is the one of biggest Park of Jabalpur, A fun and relaxing place for all, specially to young and kids.
On Nagpur Road at Mahanadda, close to tripuri chowk, is the biggest lake of Jabalpur known as Devtal, its history dates back to the Gond dynasti, who built temples here.
The largest library and a museum, Gandhi Bhavan is next to Govt Victoria Hospital and close to Clock Tower.
Pisan Hari Ki Madia
Build close to the Medical College on the top of a hill is a group of Jain temples known as Pisanhari-ki-Madia. The group of temples is known to be 200 years old.
Subhash Chandra Bose was elected the congress President at the Congress session held in the year 1939. Mahatma Gandhi visited four times to this place which lies at the bank of River Narmada.
Rani Durgavati Memorial
At Narrai, a village 18 km to the south of the city of Jabalpur is erected the Memorial of Rani Durgawati at the place of her martyrdom. The memorial was erected in June 1964. Dedicated to the memory of the great Queen Durgavati is her memorial and museum which houses a fine collection of sculptures, inscriptions and prehistoric.
This village is situated 12.8 km to the west of the city on the Jabalpur-Bheraghat road, Archaeological remains of the celebrated ancient city of Tripuri of Pauranic fame is spread extensively over a wide area covering several kilometers adjoining the village. Archaeological excavations conducted here have thrown very important light on the past history of Jabalpur in particular and country as a whole.
These ghats on the River Narmada near Tewar are the remains of several old temples of Gond and subsequent times.
At this village 59.2 km away from Jabalpur is preserved a large sculpture of Varaha, an incarnation of Narayana. A few sculptures of Siva, Hara-Gauri and Jaina Tirthankara area also kept nearby.
This is a group of low hills situated on the outskirts of the city of Katni on the Jabalpur-Katni road. It contains Rock-shelters having paintings of prehistoric times
BajnaMath and Sangram Sagar
A km from Medical College to the south of Garha stands the famous Sangram Sagar and the temple of Bajna Math which was built during the regime of Gond ruler Sangram Shah. Bajna Mathi is a center of tantric sects. Remains of an old palace may be seen at the center of Sangram Sagar.
The Bargi dam (40 Km from Jabalpur towards Seoni) is one of the first supposedly completed dams among the chain of 30 major dams to be constructed on river Narmada. View is spectacular, besides there are many temples nearby.
